School Council

Hi, my name is Abbie, I am in year 6 and I am the President of Wincheap School Council.

Our School Council meets every Friday at 12pm with Mr Sutcliffe to discuss ideas of how to make Wincheap School an even better school for every child.

There are representatives from each class in Years 6, 5, 4 and 3 each class can give their representatives ideas to talk about at the meetings. At the moment, we are talking the X factor and we sometimes we even get to judge and pick the winners for school competitions, like the latest bike completion. We have also talked about ways to make the school more environmentally friendly, like turning off the lights when we are not using them and launched the crisp packet recycling project.

It is great to get involved in the school council because you can help to make decisions about your school and you get to meet new friends in different year groups.
