School Council

Hello, my name is Rose, and I am proud to be a Year Six school councillor at Wincheap School. We meet once a week on Friday afternoons, where we gather to discuss important matters. In the school council, we use our collective ideas and creativity to make Wincheap School a better place for every child, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard.

From the Year Six class, we have two councillors, whereas in Years Five, Four, and Three, there is only one councillor representing each class. This year, we successfully organised a litter picking event to keep our school grounds clean, made adjustments to lunch times to create a more enjoyable experience, provided input on the behaviour policy, and assisted with parent tours.

Looking ahead, we would like to establish a KS1 school council, organise an engaging charity week, host an entertaining X-Factor event to showcase our talents, and continue to hold class councils.

Now that you know a bit more about what we do in the school council, we welcome your thoughts and ideas!
