Dear Parents and Carers, 

Mrs Lane is our Attendance Officer and you will see her meeting and greeting you at the school gate and supporting your children with coming into school.

Absence reporting procedure

 If you wish to report your child's absence from school, please contact Mrs Lane on (01227) 819683, if she does not answer she is unavailable, please leave a message or email her at absence@wincheap.kent.sch.uk . Please do not telephone the school office.

Mrs Lane will also be pleased to support families with any attendance concerns working alongside Mrs Cole, Pastoral Manager.

School Gates

Gates will open at 8:20am and close at 8:30am.

Children arriving after this time will receive a late mark in the register. Children arriving after 08:45am will receive an 'unauthorised' late mark for the morning session. 

School ends at 3:00pm.

Statutory guidance for school attendance

On 19th August, 2024, changes were brought to the statutory guidance for school attendance. As such, our school attendance policy was re-written to accommodate these changes.  Please view our Policy below, as well as the statutory guidance published by the Department for Education.
